Halloween Weekend at CSS: Find Your Boo + Haunted Harvest

Halloween lands on a weekend this year, and we're not wasting it. Two nights, two very different vibes, one kitchen in Itasca.
Friday is for the singles: rolling sushi, folding dumplings and maybe meeting someone who can actually cook. Saturday is for the bourbon people: three Halloween cocktails, three spooky bites and a lot of shaking. Skip the sad candy bowl. Here's what's going down.
Friday: Find Your Boo, a Halloween Singles Mixer
Friday, October 30 · 7–10 PM · $59 per person · BYOB
Dating apps are exhausting. Rolling sushi next to a stranger is not. Find Your Boo is a hands-on singles night where you cook your way around the room with a new partner at every station.
Here's the lineup:
Sushi: roll it together, and find out fast who has steady hands
Dumplings: the fold is harder than it looks, and that's half the fun
Chili noodles: a little heat to keep the conversation moving
A color-changing cocktail: watch it go from blue to pink right in the glass
Chocolate-dipped strawberries: dessert, and a decent excuse to linger
No cooking experience needed. Our chefs walk you through every step, so all you have to bring is a drink and a little nerve. Costumes are encouraged, not required. Chef Kristina will be judging either way.
Come solo or drag a single friend along. Worst case, you leave with a full stomach and a new sushi skill. Best case, you found your boo.
Saturday: Haunted Harvest, Bourbon Three Ways & Spooky Bites
Saturday, October 31 · 6:30–8:30 PM · $49 per person · Bring your own bourbon
Halloween night, but make it craft. Chef Alex is behind the bar teaching three bourbon cocktails, and each round comes with a bite from the kitchen built to match.
The drinks:
Fiendish Apple: a spiced apple cider old fashioned with brown sugar cinnamon syrup, an apple fan and a cinnamon stick
Witch's Brew: a smoked maple bourbon sour with a silky foam and a torched rosemary sprig that smokes right off the rim
Black Magic Fizz: a pitch-black bourbon highball with lemon and ginger beer. Yes, it's actually black. Yes, it's going on your Instagram.
The bites:
Potato & Prosciutto Crisp
N'awlins Haunting shrimp fingers
Tombstone Toast
You'll learn to shake, stir, dry shake and garnish like you know what you're doing, then leave with the recipes so you can run it back at your own Halloween party next year.
What to bring: a bottle of bourbon. One 750 ml bottle covers two people easily. We handle the shakers, glassware, ice, mixers and garnishes. Skipping egg white? Ask for the vegan foam on the Witch's Brew.
